  1. How many did you send out? 11% return is not that bad for something most will have thrown away (how many of us actually read the leaflets that come through our doors). But to see if it is statistically valid, we need to know how many you sent out. If you only sent 100, it isn't a very valid survey!

  2. We sent out about 1240. If I remember rightly we got back 131 so very good response. There are still many ppl who do not know this is happening so I suspect some did throw it away and are still none the wiser about this project. SIT and myself are trying our best to still get word out and I am happy to continue to receive replies to the questions if people have missed it.

  4. I am concerned over the costs, I have queried the costs and apparently it runs in to millions, is it really cost effective?

  5. If the house prices go down and we are looking to move will we be compensated?

    1. I doubt it but this is something that needs further discussion. It's all rather new to a lot of us.

  6. Has Tim Yeo done the same survey as it sounds like you have only asked Ipswich residents, where were the leaflets distributed?

  7. The leaflets went to Stoke Park and Sprites. Ben and I could only legally deliver to our constituents not those of Babergh, I'm afraid. Write to Tim Yeo!

    2. I'm not but residents in Babergh are. I am concentrating on working with Ben to get voice of our residents heard.

  8. This is good. Now that the Localism Act has recieved it's Royal Assent (15 Nov 2012) there may be an opportunity for the Babergh Communities to request a Referendum on whether these wind turbines should be erected. I believe responsibility for granting planning permission is being localised such that planning officers should consult with local communities and where a Referendum from the a community is requested it should be granted. Not sure how it will work if there is only a 3 week turn round once PfR have submitted their rquest for planning permission.

The majority Referendum results should be accepted ie if only 5 people reply (and 100s are invited to vote) then if 3 are against the wind turbines they should not be erected.
